About

I am currently a senior in an American high school and music has always been an integral part of my life experience. I have been involved in music, mainly within public schools, since my early childhood and am now in the process of beginning a vocal performance career. Much of my success, whether in music or other aspects of life, can be attributed to the skills I learned and the support I received in my schools’ music programs. Unfortunately, there is a recent trend in the US of music education being devalued, underfunded, and sometimes entirely cut from public school districts. So when I was given the opportunity to do a two year Capstone Project, I knew just what I had to do.

This blog is the culminating product of my research and work. Music is a fundamental element of a young mind’s education, and this site aims to improve general music education by acting as a resource and a communication connection for music teachers.
